Sweet Addicts

Sweet Addicts is currently a home bakery specializing in custom made cakes & cupcakes. We also offer a variety of treats such as cookies, chocolate dipped items and pies. Sweet Addicts was born from my love of baking and my desire to have custom designed, tasty and affordable treats for parties and celebrations.

Born and raised in Battle Creek, there is nowhere else I would want to operate a business. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of the time my sister and I spent in the kitchen with our grandmother and mother. Many of my recipes are versions of sweets I grew up making with my grandmother. Once I had children of my own, I could not find treats to accent their parties in the way I envisioned. This led me to begin creating and decorating my own cakes and treats for parties. After multiple requests from friends and family to bake for their events, Sweet Addicts was born.

While working over 40 hours a week and taking care of at home responsibilities, sweet treats were still being made at night and every weekend. After 2 years of balancing work, family, and providing treats for sweet addicts it was time to take the next step. I decided to leave my labor intensive job and start a new career with less stree and constraints. That decision was life changing for me, my family and my business!

Fast forward to 2021, after completing the Morning Light Cohort Program, Sweet Addicts, LLC is now a licensed and thriving business. Orders continue to pour in daily, new recipes are in the making and to put the “icing on the cake” Sweet Addicts will have a cargo space in Downtown Battle Creek.
